#5 Innovative Leadership

How to lead in a different way

This edition’s books

  1. "The Innovators" by Walter Isaacson
This book is a masterful narrative that explores the evolution of the digital age, focusing on the individuals who pioneered the computer and internet revolutions. It's not just about the technology but the creative minds and leadership styles that brought these groundbreaking innovations.

"The Innovators" offers a unique look at how collaboration and leadership played pivotal roles in technological advancements. It's particularly enlightening to understand how different leadership styles can foster innovation and creativity in a team.

  2. "Humanocracy" by Gary Hamel
"Humanocracy" presents a compelling argument against the traditional bureaucratic approach to management. Instead, it advocates for a more human-centric leadership that empowers individuals and encourages innovation.

This book is a must-read for anyone interested in transformative leadership approaches. It challenges conventional management wisdom and provides practical strategies for building organizations that are as innovative and agile as the people inside them.

My favourite on Innovative Leadership is Originals by Adam Grant (but it could have been any book from him). It explores how individuals can champion new ideas and fight groupthink, transforming them into non-conformist leaders. The book delves into various case studies and stories, showcasing how to nurture and voice original ideas and lead in ways that bring these ideas to fruition in a world resistant to change.👇
